How to wash DEWBU heated jacket / vest / pants ？

Hand-wash

Clean heated jacket like any other clothes, but be gentle to protect heating system. Use detergent and warm water for strains. Avoid kinking or twisting heating clothing to better protect the heating system. For stubborn stains, gently spot clean with a soft brush or cloth.

 

Machine-wash

It’s so convenient that Dewbu heated jacket is machine washable. To protect the jacket from any potential damage, place it inside a mesh laundry bag. Wash your DEWBU heated jacket on a delicate or gentle cycle with cold water. Use a mild detergent designed for delicate fabrics.

 

The following are the 5 steps you must follow to wash your DEWBU heated jacket, vest, or Pants.

Step 1: Disconnect and remove the battery from the zipper pocket. 

This is a crucial step in maintaining the safety of your DEWBU Heated Apparel. It's vital to remove the rechargeable battery before any contact with water to prevent damage. Make sure to follow this step before moving on.

 

Step 2: Make sure you put the connector cable back and close the zipper pocket.

Secure the power cable inside the jacket pocket and zip it up. This protects the cable from damage and prevents tangling during washing.

 

Step 3: Place your jacket inside a mesh laundry bag.

The wiring of your heated gear is delicate and requires additional care. We recommend that you put it inside a mesh laundry bag. 

 

Step 4: Machine-wash it.

• Select Delicate Cycle: Set your washing machine to a delicate or gentle cycle with cold water. Use a mild detergent suitable for delicate fabrics.
• Avoid Harsh Detergents: Do not use bleach or fabric softeners, as they can damage the materials and heating elements of the jacket.

 

Step 5: Dry it.

• Air Dry: After the washing cycle is complete, remove the jacket from the laundry bag and hang it to air dry. Avoid using a dryer, as the heat can damage the jacket.
• Do not wring or twist: We know you want it to dry quickly so you can use it as soon as possible, but squeezing or twisting it will damage the wiring
• Hang to Dry: Air dry the jacket away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
