Choose a softshell jacket when wind, light precipitation, and abrasion resistance matter. The Classic uses a fixed, foldable hood and offers four pockets. The Detachable Hood model offers two pockets and lets you remove the hood as conditions change.

For commuting, walking, and easy layering

Choose Polar Fleece when a softer feel and simple indoor-to-outdoor layering are priorities. It is windproof and scratch-resistant, but not water-resistant, so use softshell for wetter conditions.

For lower-body cold

Women’s heated pants target the thighs, knees, and waist and combine a weather-resistant softshell outer with a fleece-lined inner. They can be worn with any compatible women’s heated jacket when broader coverage is needed.

How should I layer women’s heated clothing for the best warmth?

Wear a lightweight, moisture-wicking base layer under the heated garment so the heating zones stay relatively close to your body. In colder or windier weather, add an insulating or wind-blocking outer layer. Avoid putting a very bulky layer between your body and the heated garment because it can slow heat transfer.

Does extreme cold reduce heated-apparel battery life?

It can. Like other lithium-ion batteries, the DEWBU battery may deliver less runtime in very cold conditions. Start with a full charge, keep the battery in the garment’s zipped battery pocket while in use, and carry a fully charged spare for extended exposure.

Yes. Remove the battery, secure the connector inside the closed battery pocket, place the garment in a mesh laundry bag, and wash cold on a gentle cycle. Line dry only; do not bleach, dry clean, wring, iron, or tumble dry.
